Aeon Flux is a 2005 science fiction action thriller directed by Karyn Kusama and starring Charlize Theron as the title character. Set 400 years in the future within Bregna, Earth’s last remaining city, the film follows Aeon, a skilled operative working for an underground resistance movement against the totalitarian government. When she receives orders to eliminate the nation’s leader, Aeon discovers a conspiracy that threatens to reshape civilization itself. The ensemble cast includes Frances McDormand, Jonny Lee Miller, Marton Csokas, Pete Postlethwaite, and Sophie Okoneko, with the screenplay by Matt Manfredi, Peter Chung, and Phil Hay adapting the groundbreaking MTV animated series.
