Absolutely Fabulous is a British satirical sitcom following Edina and Patsy, two middle-aged women navigating London’s social scene through excess, alcohol, and shallow pursuits. Created by Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French, the series stars Saunders as the hard-drinking, perpetually dieting Edina and Joanna Lumley as her glamorous sidekick Patsy. Season 4 arrived in 2001 after a five-year gap, finding the characters largely unchanged but now tackling new territory including menopause, a PR opportunity with Twiggy, and an unexpectedly wild night at a Marilyn Manson concert. Edina’s long-suffering daughter Saffron, played by Julia Sawalha, continues to serve as the voice of reason amid the chaos.
