A Woman Called Golda is a 1982 biographical drama directed by Alan Gibson that chronicles the life of Golda Meir, the first female prime minister of Israel. Born in Ukraine and raised in Milwaukee, Meir became involved in Zionist politics from an early age before moving to a kibbutz in Palestine with her husband during the 1920s. There she dedicated herself to establishing a Jewish homeland. The film follows her journey from idealistic young woman through her rise to lead Israel in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including her historic meeting with Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. Ingrid Bergman delivers a powerful performance in the lead role, supported by Judy Davis as young Golda and Leonard Nimoy as her devoted husband.

This is a two-disc DVD release with a runtime of three hours and eleven minutes, presented unrated by Harve Bennett Productions. Originally produced for television, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Anne Jackson, Franklin Cover, and Ned Beatty.
