Director Sam Raimi brings a crime thriller to the screen with this 1998 film starring Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton as brothers Hank and Jacob. When the two men, along with Jacob’s friend Lou (Brent Briscoe), discover millions of dollars at a crashed plane in the snowy Minnesota wilderness, they decide to hide the money and keep it secret for a year. What begins as a straightforward scheme quickly unravels as greed and paranoia take hold, leading to murder, betrayal, and mounting body counts. Bridget Fonda appears as Hank’s wife, whose initial doubts transform into ruthless complicity as the brothers’ relationship deteriorates under the weight of their discovery.

This single-disc DVD release runs two hours and one minute and carries an R rating from Paramount Pictures. Raimi directs with restrained intensity, exploring the tragic rift between the brothers as their simple plan spirals into darkness. Grab this used copy and experience a tense examination of how easily good intentions crumble under temptation.
