A Go Go is a 2006 contemporary jazz album by guitarist John Scofield, recorded with the organ trio Medeski, Martin and Wood. Scofield’s electric guitar lines interplay with the groove-driven foundation created by drummer Billy Martin, keyboardist John Medeski, and bassist Chris Wood. The album channels funk sensibilities and ’60s influences while showcasing Scofield’s sharp harmonic sensibility and the trio’s flexible, soulful approach to rhythm.
