3 Car Garage - The Indie Recordings '95-'96

CD Details

Hanson recorded these songs in 1995 and 1996 before achieving mainstream fame, and this 1998 collection captures the pop-rock trio during their early years. Brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac showcase their developing sound across tracks like “Day Has Come,” which displays ambitious arrangements, and “MMMBop,” presented here in a slower form than the streamlined version that would later become their breakthrough hit. The recordings reveal how fully formed their musical identity already was, with Taylor’s distinctive vocal approach evident throughout the album and the group’s genuine enthusiasm apparent in every song.

This CD contains nine tracks spanning roughly 45 minutes of indie recordings from the mid-1990s. The production is noticeably rougher than their later commercial releases, but the album serves as a fascinating document of the band’s pre-fame work and proves their staying power extended well beyond novelty appeal.
