28 Weeks Later is a 2007 horror-thriller sequel directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and starring Jeremy Renner, Robert Carlyle, and Rose Byrne. Set six months after a devastating rage virus outbreak swept through the British Isles, the film follows a group of Americans who return to the quarantined island believing the threat has been contained. When an unknowing carrier of the virus enters the repopulated city, the infection reignites with even greater ferocity, plunging the population back into chaos and terror.
