Wingy Manone and his Orchestra recorded this material in 1937 and 1938, capturing the swing and jazz energy of the late 1930s. Manone, a talented trumpeter and vocalist, led his ensemble through a series of performances that showcase the hot jazz style of the era, blending brass arrangements with rhythmic drive characteristic of the swing period.

This CD is a reissue of a long out-of-print original recording, released with the written approval of the French copyright holder. You are purchasing a used copy of a historically significant jazz document that has become quite difficult to find in its original form.
