CD Details
Tempest’s 15th Anniversary Collection is a 2004 retrospective from the Celtic folk-rock band, capturing studio recordings from across their career since forming in 1988. Founded by lead vocalist and electric mandolinist Leif Sorbye, Tempest built their sound by blending traditional folk music with high-energy rock, drawing musicians from folk, metal, alternative rock, blues-rock, jazz, and singer-songwriter backgrounds. The collection opens with Masters Of War and moves through a mix of traditional reels like Toss The Feathers, Queen Of Argyll, and Milligan’s Fancy alongside original compositions such as Dance Of The Third Leg, One Last Cold Kiss, and The Creel, showcasing the band’s approach to keeping folk traditions alive and potent.
Released on Magna Carta, this two-disc set features studio material spanning the band’s fifteen-year history. Disc One contains the studio recordings that define Tempest’s evolution and musical vision. A used copy from us means you own a piece of this folk-rock retrospective at a fraction of the original retail price.
