Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is a 2010 financial drama directed by Oliver Stone that reunites Michael Douglas with the role of Gordon Gekko. After serving time for insider trading, Gekko attempts to rebuild his life and reconnect with his estranged daughter. He forms an unlikely partnership with Jake, her fiancé and an ambitious young trader played by Shia LaBeouf, who becomes drawn to Gekko as a mentor figure. As Jake works alongside the former corporate raider to prevent an economic catastrophe and investigate the circumstances surrounding his own mentor’s mysterious death, he discovers that Gekko remains a cunning manipulator willing to exploit anyone to reclaim his former power.
