In this 1976 Disney comedy directed by Robert Stevenson, lawyer Wilby Daniels (Dean Jones) decides to run for District Attorney, but his campaign hits a furry snag when he mysteriously transforms into a large English sheepdog. The magical Borgia ring from his teenage years has resurfaced, and whenever its incantation is spoken aloud, Wilby finds himself on four legs at the most inconvenient moments. With the corrupt politician he’s running against (Keenan Wynn) discovering his secret and a determined dog catcher on his trail, Wilby must juggle his campaign, his canine curse, and the search for the ring’s source. Dick Van Patten, Hans Conried, Jo Anne Worley, and John Fiedler round out the cast in this sequel to The Shaggy Dog.
