Barbara Stanwyck stars in this 1948 film-noir thriller from Paramount Pictures, directed by Anatole Litvak. While confined to her bed, a woman attempts to reach her husband by phone but instead overhears a conversation between two men planning a murder. Desperate to warn someone before the crime occurs, she finds herself struggling to convince anyone of what she has heard.
