Black Angel is a 1946 film noir from Universal Pictures directed by Roy William Neill. When a blonde singer is murdered, a man is wrongly convicted of the crime. His wife Catherine teams up with an alcoholic pianist to uncover the real killer and save her husband from execution. The investigation leads them through a shadowy nightclub underworld filled with suspects, including a shady owner and a man caught at the scene. As they dig deeper into the mystery, suspense and unexpected romance emerge alongside the twisting clues that build toward a surprising conclusion.
