Francis the Talking Mule is a 1950 comedy series from Universal Pictures starring Donald O’Connor as Second Lieutenant Peter Stirling, a soldier whose closest friend is an unusual one: a mule named Francis who can talk. When Stirling tries to convince his commanding officers about his extraordinary companion, no one believes him, leading to repeated trips to the mental hospital. Directed by Arthur Lubin and written by David Stern, the film follows the hilarious chaos that unfolds as Francis helps uncover military secrets and spies, all while remaining invisible to everyone but Stirling. The ensemble cast includes Chill Wills as the voice of Francis, along with John McIntire, Patricia Medina, Ray Collins, and Tony Curtis.

This is a single-disc DVD release with a runtime of 91 minutes, rated Approved by the Motion Picture Association.
