CD Details
Delicious Surprise is a 1996 country album from Jo Dee Messina and Ty Herndon, released on the Curb label. Following a four-year absence from recording, Messina returned with material that drew from personal experiences, including a public rehab stint and the end of a long-term engagement. Producers Byron Gallimore and Mark Bright shaped much of the album’s sound, while Messina herself cowrote several tracks. The record balances upbeat numbers with introspective ballads that reveal a quieter side of the artist, showcasing her distinctive vocal presence and emotional depth.
This CD contains 13 tracks including the lead single “My Give a Damn’s Busted,” along with “Living In A Moment,” “She Wants To Be Wanted Again,” and “Love Don’t Work That Way.” Messina wrote or cowrote five of the songs on the album.
