Def Jam's Rush Hour Soundtrack by Grenique (1998) - Explicit Lyrics

CD Details

Released in 1998, the Rush Hour soundtrack is a hip-hop and R&B compilation assembled for the action film. Featuring artists such as Dru Hill, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Wu-Tang Clan, Slick Rick, Snoop Dogg, and others, the album blends gangsta rap, contemporary R&B, and funk alongside comedic skits. Standout tracks include “How Deep Is Your Love” by Dru Hill featuring Redman, Jay-Z’s “Can I Get A…” with Amil and Ja Rule, and Ja Rule’s “Bitch Betta Have My Money,” though the collection mixes strong singles with more forgettable material across its runtime.

This is a CD released on the Def Jam label, containing over 70 minutes of music with interspersed skits like “Never Touch A Black Man’s Radio” and “Jackie Chan Kicks Ass.” The album includes explicit lyrics and features a diverse roster of late-1990s hip-hop and R&B talent.
