An affair to remember is a 1957 romantic drama directed by Leo McCarey and starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. Two travelers meet aboard a ship and discover an unexpected connection that transforms both their lives. Though each is committed to someone else, they fall deeply in love over the course of their voyage. Before parting ways, they make a pact to reunite at the Empire State Building six months later, giving themselves time to settle their current relationships and for one of them to pursue a meaningful career. When the fateful day arrives, circumstances conspire to keep them apart, leading to heartbreak and misunderstanding that only destiny might resolve.
