The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is a 2018 fantasy adventure from Walt Disney Studios directed by Joe Johnston and Lasse Hallstrom. Mackenzie Foy stars as Clara, a young girl who receives a mysterious golden thread at her godfather Drosselmeyer’s holiday party that leads her to a one-of-a-kind key meant to unlock a box containing a precious gift from her late mother. When the key vanishes into a strange parallel world, Clara follows and discovers three magical realms: the Land of Snowflakes, the Land of Flowers, and the Land of Sweets. There she meets Phillip, a soldier, and encounters the rulers of these lands, but must venture into the dangerous Fourth Realm ruled by the tyrannical Mother Ginger to recover her key and restore peace to this unstable world.
