Opera Intermezzi brings together celebrated orchestral passages from classic operas, performed by the Berlin Philharmonic under the direction of Herbert von Karajan. Released in 2007, this collection showcases the lyrical interludes and entr’actes that punctuate some of opera’s most beloved works, including selections from Verdi’s La Traviata and Pagliacci, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut and Suor Angelica, and Massenet’s Thaïs.
