Jars of Clay released The Shelter in 2010, a pop rock album built around the concept of community and togetherness. Drawing inspiration from an old Irish proverb about people finding shelter in one another, the band created this record in an intimate creative space, inviting an 11-voice choir and 15 guest artists to contribute to the project. The roster includes Brandon Heath, Mac Powell, Amy Grant, and Mike Donehey, among others, bringing their talents to songs that range from personal reflections to grand, sweeping arrangements.

This CD on Provident Records contains 11 tracks including Small Rebellions, Call My Name, the title track Shelter, and Run In The Night (Psalm 27), showcasing the band’s embrace of acoustic and stripped-down production. Picking up a used copy from us means owning this collaborative work at a fraction of retail cost.
