Deep Blue Sea is a 1999 sci-fi thriller directed by Renny Harlin about a catastrophic breakdown at an undersea research facility. Scientists studying genetically enhanced mako sharks have inadvertently made the creatures highly intelligent as a side effect of developing an Alzheimer’s treatment. When a storm damages the complex, the three massive sharks escape their containment and begin hunting the trapped researchers. The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as a corporate executive, Saffron Burrows as a lead researcher, LL Cool J as the facility’s cook, and Michael Rapaport and Jacqueline McKenzie among the staff fighting for survival.

This is a single-disc DVD release from Warner Bros. with a runtime of 105 minutes and an R rating for violence and language.
