D-Day, the Sixth of June is a 1956 war drama from Twentieth Century Fox directed by Henry Koster. Robert Taylor stars as an American officer leading a commando unit tasked with destroying a crucial German gun position during the Allied invasion of Normandy. Complicating his mission is a tangle of personal conflict: both Taylor’s character and his British commanding officer, played by Richard Todd, are in love with the same woman, portrayed by Dana Wynter.
