Away We Go is a 2009 comedy-drama directed by Sam Mendes, written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida, and starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph as an expectant couple navigating a cross-country search for the ideal place to start their family. When Burt’s parents unexpectedly relocate to Belgium, leaving the couple stranded in Colorado without their planned support system, Verona and Burt embark on a journey across America to visit friends and relatives in various cities. As they experience different locations, climates, and family dynamics, they gradually discover that their quest is really about determining what kind of parents they want to become rather than simply finding the right place to live. The film features strong supporting performances from Jeff Daniels, Catherine O’Hara, Carmen Ejogo, and others.
