This 35-song album contains lively folk songs from America and from other cultures, including Hispanic, as well as holiday and patriotic songs. The target ages are birth through 9 although older children and adults reportedly enjoy these songs immensely. Mom-Daughter song team, Patricia Lou Harris and Terri Thurman Finck released this album originally for elementary and pre-school teachers to use with their children, but it has become extremely popular for general enjoyment. Terri is the primary performer, and her beautiful and kid-friendly voice is most inviting to all who listen. Her warm rapport with children comes right through her singing! Outstanding arrangements of the songs (and dances) with real musicians playing a variety of instruments makes this album a step above many synthesizer-based albums for children.
