Although they were best known as one of the greatest ‘live’ bands around, they made interesting and fun videos to accompany their singles.. Big Country received two Grammy Award nominations — one for Best New Artist and one for Best Rock Performance. Big Country appeared at some of the largest music events worldwide as the co-headlined the ‘Peace Festival’ in East Berlin with Bryan Adams where 140,000 people attended in 1988, and featured in the supergroup at Wembley for the finale of ‘Live Aid’.
