recordings are standards by which all subsequent performances are judged.
The 13-CDs of Studio Recordings include not only scenes and arias
from her stage repertoire, but also other pieces that she never sang on stage.
Special highlights of this set are two CDs of rarities, including a test from a 1953
session with producer Walter Legge as well as a recently discovered item from
an aborted project of duets with Franco Corelli. This recital performance is
an invaluable addition to Callas s recorded legacy and show yet another side of
this unique diva, whose vocal achievements stand unrivalled today and probably
