This digitally remastered video from 1997 features Jillian Hessel, who is well-known for her expertise on the Cadillac apparatus. It offers excellent instructional value and offers great detail about each exercise. It also has a unique historical perspective, given the fact that Hessel’s teaching descends in a direct line from Joseph Pilates through her teachers, who studied with the man himself. However, it is a hard-core instructional DVD for advanced students, student teachers, and certified Pilates professionals. Be advised that this is NOT a DVD designed to follow along with as you do your workout! You should be familiar with Pilates exercises and equipment before attempting any of the exercises in this DVD. Finally, any certified teacher of Pilates knows how important it is to familiarize yourself with the exercises, and practice on your own body before attempting to teach them to anyone else. –Jillian
